“You have heard of the Nervous System, but do you know what it really is & does?

The Nervous System consists of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves that come off the spinal cord. The nervous system is protected by our spine & skull. Without our Nervous System, we would not be alive!

  • The BRAIN is our master controller. If you wanted to build a computer to do what the brain does..It would be the size of Texas & as high as the Empire State Building (!)
  • The SPINAL CORD is the “circuit breaker board” of the body. Each nerve (aka the “wire”) is surrounded by a moveable vertebrae (the “circuit breaker”) and sends information to every single cell in the body (all the “rooms” in the house).
  • There are billions of NERVES in the body. Our entire body (all of our organs, muscles, etc). are controlled by our nerves. The spine must line  up and move in a very specific way for all the nerves to send the messages to our body correctly.

DID YOU KNOW?

90% of the stimulation & nutrition to the brain is generated by the movement of the SPINE. As you can see, the nervous system’s functioning is dependent on the health of our spine. The healthier our spine is, the healthier our nervous system is!

And remember, without your nervous system, you wouldn’t be reading this!

HOW DOES A CHIROPRACTOR WORK WITH THE NERVOUS SYSTEM?

A chiropractor restores the nervous system by adjusting the spine & correcting any misalignments. When the body is in alignment, the body is able to respond and perform as it was designed to, and the messages from the nervous system can be sent to all areas of the body.
